TENNIS CAKE.

It was a great opportunity to create the Wimbledon Men's Final match on a cake.

The cake is showing a scene from 6 July 2008 Rafael Nadal versus Roger Federer. It was possibly the best match we will see in our life times.

The referee is exactly reflecting the costume green jacket , with white straps and try to make the figurines look a like Federer and Nadal.

The spectators are cut outs from a snowman with their hat on.

WEDDING CAKE

Inspired by the Tiffany's famous azure green color invitation and my favorite design cameo's.

Bottom tier trellis design is emphasized with pearl dots.

2nd tier  has 4 flower cameo's on the quadrant's of the cake. Big cameo's are sugar paste moulds. In between there are scrolls piped with royal icing and has a drop of small cameos.

The bride and groom's silhouettes and are on the 3rd tier as requested by the bride.

4th tier is same trellis design and main scroll design.

Cake is chocolate cake, with chocolate cream, chocolate chips and raspberries with dab of Tia Maria.

1st &4th tiers are 4 inch(10 cm) tall, 2nd&3rd tiers are 6inch (15 cm) tall to be able to locate the scrolls and cameo's

The cake weighed 19 kg this time.

80'S THEME CAKE

Cake inspired by Cyndi Lauper's  fashion in 80's. White&black stripy trousers, with colorful prints on black T-shirts and black patent leather belts.

All popular items of  80's are scattered around the cake. Pac-man and Atari ancestor of all the computer games. Ghost buster the Hit Movie, MTV music channel, cassettes, rubic cube puzzle and of course Michael Jackson's unforgettable white gloves.

All items are hand cut and hand painted ( MTV and GHOST BUSTERS are hand sketched and painted with edible colors)

It was a great pleasure to go back to my young hood when working on the cake. Summer of 1985 , best summer in my life.  Those were the days my friend.
